Bridget Catherine Regan (born February 3, 1982; San Diego County, California) is an American film, television and theater actress, best known for her portrayal of Kahlan Amnell in the television series Legend of the Seeker.[2]

Career [edit]
Since 2006, she has appeared in several movies and television shows. Her filmography includes The Wedding Album, Blinders, Supreme Courtships, The Babysitters and the Sex and the City movie. She also had guest appearances on the TV shows Love Monkey, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, American Experience, Six Degrees, The Black Donnellys and New Amsterdam.[3]
In 2008, Regan began filming Legend of the Seeker, a television show based on Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth series. She portrayed Mother Confessor Kahlan Amnell.
In 2009, Regan ventured into producing[4] with Camp Wanatachi, a musical that ran in New York at La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club.[5]
She was cast as a lead on the proposed television series The Frontier created by Shaun Cassidy.[6][7]
Personal [edit]
Bridget Regan grew up in an Irish American and Catholic[8] family. She began acting as a child in North County productions of The Wizard of Oz at the La Paloma Theatre and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat[9] in her hometown of Carlsbad, California.
Regan graduated from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Her natural hair is red and curly. She dyed her hair dark brown and chemically straightened it for Legend of the Seeker.
On December 27th, 2010, Bridget gave birth to a baby girl named Frankie Jean. The news was revealed via twitter two days after the birth.
