Internet Killed Television is a web series which documents the lives of Charles Trippy, his wife Alli and their dogs Zoey and Marley.[1][2]
The show consists of episodes averaging around six to twenty minutes that are filmed, edited, and then aired every day onto YouTube by mid-afternoon Eastern Standard Time (early evening Greenwich Mean Time). The series was originally planned to last for only one year; however, after the success of the season, the couple have decided to continue. The YouTube series has now reached its fifth year and every year, so far, they have reached out to their audience, the CTFxC(ers) to create a montage featuring the main events that had occurred that year.

Production [edit]
The show is currently shot with a Canon PowerShot ELPH 330 HS, and sometimes a Canon EOS 7D and an iPhone 5 on certain occasions or when the main camera is not available. The couple also occasionally film using a GoPro, due to its waterproof nature. In many previous episodes, Trippy has used a Flip UltraHD camcorder, Canon ELPH model's SD4500 IS, Powershot 300 HS, Powershot 110 HS, and previous variations of the iPhone. The series is edited using Apple's Final Cut Pro 7 on a MacBook Pro. Charlie Puth composed the show's early theme songs, and various viewers have contributed their own versions. YouTube musicians Dubble Kick Rick and TeraBrite have also created and covered the most current theme. The theme song has changed several times including one to celebrate the Trippys' wedding. The show also features a somewhat traditional 'title card', which others have contributed to the show—usually featuring the show's logo - and plays at the beginning of each episode. Currently, there have been 1477 episodes made, with a combined total of 358,217,982 video views.
Cast [edit]
Charles Paul Trippy III was born on September 2, 1984 in Sarasota, Florida and raised in the neighboring city of Bradenton, Florida. He graduated high school at Lakewood Ranch High School and graduated college from the University of South Florida. He started making videos on YouTube in May 2006. He has also taken part in other web series and ongoing vlog series such as: ShayTards, Prank House, Shoot the Banker, The Elevator Show, Retarded Policeman, PrankvsPrank and The Annoying Orange, where he plays a lemon, and in another episode a potato.[3] His father, Chaz Trippy, played percussion in the Gregg Allman Band when Trippy was younger.[4] In 2010, Trippy was nominated for a Teen Choice award.[5] He was also the bassist in a band called Suspense Thriller.[6] As of September 21, 2011, Charles is playing bass for the Florida based band We The Kings, whom he has been friends with since childhood. On March 11, 2012 Charles announced in a live show that he is now the permanent bassist of the band.
Allison "Alli" Rose Trippy (née Speed) was born on August 13, 1989 in Atlanta, Georgia and grew up in Sarasota, Florida. Allison graduated from The NewGate School, a private Montessori school, in 2007. She graduated from Florida State University on April 29, 2011, where she majored in Spanish. She also took classes in RE. She graduated with honors and attained a GPA of 3.85.
Alli and Charles met through the social network MySpace. Charles randomly added Alli on MySpace while competing with a friend to see who could get more friends on the site. Charles and Alli remained friends for approximately five years without actually ever meeting in person. They finally arranged to meet in person in December 2008 at a Starbucks coffee shop in Sarasota. They both showed up and talked until late hours. Later they went to Marina Jack, walked around and stayed up talking all night long. According to Charles himself, they were inseparable ever since.[7]

Wedding [edit]
On Sunday, November 20, 2011, Charles and Allison got married at the Powell Crosley Estate, Sarasota, Florida.[9] Allison wore a wedding dress designed by Vera Wang. Allison walked down the aisle to the song "In My Place", originally performed by Coldplay and covered by The Vitamin String Quartet. Her bridesmaids walked down to "Yellow" by Coldplay. The couple's first dance was to "1, 2, 3, 4" by Plain White T's, a song previously covered by the couple. Their official montage video was uploaded two days later on the CharlesTrippy YouTube channel. The song in the background is "Fix You", originally performed by Coldplay and covered by Boyce Avenue, friends of the couple. The montage video was produced by ApprenticeEh and directed by Corey Vidal. The vlog produced on the wedding day is their longest on the CTFxC channel, lasting approximately 34 minutes. The Twitter hashtag "#CTFxCWedding" was trending worldwide on this day as second most popular Trending Topic.[10] The wedding was planned by Courtney Shaw of Fabulously Chic Events.[11] This wedding appeared on many talk shows and news outlets, one including Right This Minute.[12] The wedding proposal was also included in the Huffington Post list of top 10 wedding proposals.[13]
Health Concerns [edit]
On Monday, November 8, 2010, Alli was taken to the emergency room at the couple's local hospital in Tallahassee, Florida after experiencing severe abdominal pain. After being given pain relief and having several tests ran such as a CT Scan, Alli was diagnosed with having an ovarian cyst that was larger than her ovary. Alli was referred to her family doctor in Sarasota and had the cyst surgically removed.
On Thursday, February 23, 2012, Charles stated that while walking back to the We The Kings tour bus from the Boise State University field in Boise, Idaho, he suffered a seizure and lost consciousness. His friend and bandmate, Danny Duncan, who was with Trippy at the time of the seizure, called for emergency services who responded and transported him to St. Luke's Hospital, Boise.[14] Charles later announced that, after tests, doctors had discovered a brain tumor, which he was told was not malignant.[15] On Saturday, February 25, 2012, Charles' wife, Alli, joined him in Boise upon the news of Trippy's ill health. It was announced that day that the couple had decided to return to their home in Sarasota, Florida for Charles to undergo treatment.
On Tuesday, March 6, 2012, Charles underwent surgery to remove the tumor at the Sarasota Memorial Hospital near the couple's home in Sarasota, Florida. The surgery was successful and, on March 8, 2012, Charles was discharged from the hospital and returned home. On March 16, 2012, Charles confirmed that the tumor to be benign and it was diagnosed to be an Oligodendroglioma. Charles rejoined We The Kings on tour after surgeons confirmed that he was fit enough to travel and resume work.
On Monday, April 8, 2013, at 6:15 PM EST, Charles announced on twitter and Facebook that he had suffered two seizures at home and was subsequently admitted to hospital. The latest update on his condition states that he is in a stable condition and is awaiting the results of an MRI scan after the results of a CT Scan seemed positive. He was able to return home Monday night after the CT scan.
On Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at 7:12 PM EST, Charles announced on twitter and Facebook that he had safely returned home after his MRI scans, with a picture of him, his wife, and dogs.
On Thursday, April 11, 2013, Charles announced in the vlog that the results came back clear with no tumor regrowth. The seizures were caused by scar tissue from the previous removal, which lowered his seizure threshold, along with lack of sleep and fatigue. He rejoined We The Kings on April 26th and is back playing shows.
