Soumya Rai (Also Saumya) is a popular dancer of India. She came to spotlight as a 8 year old dancer in Boogie Woogie dance competition. After that show she performed in Dance India dance Lil Masters where she got international recognition as a dancer. Soumya participated in Zee TV's popular reality dance show "Dance India Dance (DID) - Little Masters (Dance Ke Baap)". Soumya belongs from Gorkha community. She is a very talented veteran dancer. Soumya Rai’ who bagged the 1st runners up title at Boogie Woogie little champ dance competition at the age of 8, a moment of joy and bliss for the entire Gorkhas. She had been the most impressive dancer at the entire show, a very cute and smart little tiny tot. And in Dance India Dance (DID) - Little Masters too she has impressed the judges through her graceful elegant performance. She is very good at Hip-Hop, though judges considers her a complete package as she can perform any style.

Soumya Rai from Kolkata,she belongs from Gorkha community basically from Nepal. She is the daughter of an Indian army whose background belongs to Nepal. Currently, she is one of the contestant of Zee TV's popular reality dance show "Dance India Dance (DID) - Little Masters (Dance Ke Baap).

She learnt dance at a very early age from her mother. She has taken professional coaching from her guru Mr. Raj and specialises in hip-hop. Soumya looks up to Terrence Lewis for inspiration. When Soumya is not dancing, she spends her time painting, drawing and watching Shinchan. Soumya Rai wants to win the Miss Universe pageant one day.
