Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? (Hindi: इस प्यार को क्या नाम दूं?, English: What shall I name this love?) is an Indian soap opera which premiered on June 6, 2011 and aired every Monday to Friday at 8PM on Star Plus. The show had an abrupt end on November 30, 2012, as the male protagonist of the show Barun Sobti decided to quit the show and move to greener pastures.^[1] The show consistently maintained a position as one of the top five daily dramas on Indian general entertainment channels throughout its first year on air.

The story revolves around the characters Khushi Kumari Gupta (Sanaya Irani) and Arnav Singh Raizada (Barun Sobti), two very different individuals with very different beliefs who ultimately come to realize that they complete each other.

Plot [edit]

It was Khushi's sister Payal (Deepali Pansare) wedding and where Khushi's mother (Pyumori Mehta), Buaji (Abha Parmar) and Khushi's father Shashi (Sanjay Batra). Then Khushi (Sanaya Irani) who is very excited about the wedding. While Khushi's family is busy with Payal's wedding. Arnav Singh Raizada enters (Barun Sobti who is a tycoon and went to the temple where his mother died. Then there enters Arnav's sister Anjali (Daljeet Bhanot) who has an leg problem and then Arnav's family Nani (Jayshree T), Manorama (Utkarsha Naik), Akash (Akshay Dogra) and Meaherdra. Then Payal's wedding calls off and there was a bit emotional to see.

Then Arnav meets Khushi and that's where the adventures start over them. First they start hating each other then Arnav humiliates Khushi and then because of that Khushi's parents had to make Payal and Khushi go with Buaji to her house in Dehli. So then Shyaam (Abhaas Mehta) enters and was back in Dehli and met Khushi then started to fall in love with her. Then he was a paying guest in Buaji's house.

Enter Shyam- Anjali's husband and a lawyer by profession. While Shyam pretends to be a loving husband and an honorable man, down below lies a venomous, cunning mind, manipulating situations for wealth, power and also Khushi, whom he has set eyes on. How Arnav and Khushi finally accept their love for each other and conquer all odds forms the rest of this star-crossed love saga.
