Ramayana Water Park (Thai: สวนน้ำรามายณะ) — an ambitious project to build the largest water theme park in Southeast Asia. Construction of the water park is in Pattaya (Chonburi province, Thailand), which is 1.5 hours drive from Bangkok and 15 kilometers south of Pattaya. The waterpark will have the newest and most exciting waterslides available that will offer thrills for adults & teenagers and hours of fun for small children. The Waterpark will also have many relaxing zones and attractions, international & local food & beverage plus live entertainment. This world class entertainment facility will offer a full day of fun and long lasting memories for families and friends. As Thailand's first international standard waterpark and the creative spirit of the assembled team, Ramayana Water Park will be the largest and most attractive waterpark in South East Asia. The tropical wet and dry climate of Pattaya will allow guests to visit the water park all year round, including holidays and weekends.

About the project [edit]

According to statistics, Pattaya is the most attractive place in Thailand for tourists from all countries. Every year Pattaya is visited by about eight million tourists. Also, due to its convenient location and well-developed infrastructure of transportation systems, the way from Bangkok to Pattaya takes only one and a half hours. Preliminary analysis and calculations have shown that the potential visitors of a water park from the local people in Thailand will be about six million. All this confirms the enormous potential of the "Ramayana Water Park." To implement the project a team was brought together of the best experts in the field of construction of water parks from around the world. Ramayana Water Park has assembled a team of world leading experts to head the Project. WhiteWater West Industries, the world’s leading designer and manufacturer of waterslides and waterpark equipment, who have completed over 4,000 projects worldwide, have been engaged for the initial concept and all of the waterparks equipment. The design and themes have been produced by Hassell Architects, an award winning Australian-Thai architectural firm who specializes in Landscape design. Leading the team and project is the well known and respected waterpark expert Mr. Alan Mahony, who was recently awarded the World Waterpark Association^[1] Executive Board Award 2011 for his commitment and excellence to the development and operations of world class waterparks in Asia. Mr. Alan Mahony has led many world leading waterparks such as Chimelong Water Park in Guangzhou, China which became the world’s busiest waterpark during his time there, and the development and operation of the waterpark built inside the famous Beijing Watercube, home of the Aquatics for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
Budget of the water park is over 45 million dollars that will be invested during 2012-2014, with the aim of the project – to create a world-class water park, designed for tourists visiting Thailand, and the local people. The official opening of the "Ramayana Water Park" will be held in early 2014.
An international team has developed a unique theme of the park, which is based on an ancient folk epic Ramayana, which makes this project unique. Guests will enjoy a touch from the pages of the history of ancient Thailand. "Ramayana Water Park" will be located in the territory of 160,000 m² (40 acres), and include the 14 zones of the theme park. It can take up to 10,000 visitors a day, which will enter the top 10 of the largest water parks in the world. Ramayana Water Park is a very significant project for Thailand in the area of tourism and will assist in increasing the attractiveness of Thailand as a destination to visit, as quoted by the Thailand Minister of Tourism & Sports who has given the project his support. The Project has also been given the support of the Thailand Government and received Board of Investment certification.

Dual Wave Pool [edit]

Ramayana Water Park wave pool will be a Dual Wave Pool System that will offer guests 2 different wave experiences. One side of the pool will offer oscillating, diamond head waves where guests can float up and down with the waves. The second side will offer the experience of rolling waves similar to the ocean at the beach.

Lazy River [edit]

The Lazy River is a continuous river that allows the guests the opportunity to lay back and relax with family and friends while floating around the river. Guests will be able to witness fun views of various rides and attractions around the waterpark whilst getting ready for you next thrilling adventure.

FlowRider [edit]

The FlowRider is a skill and thrill attraction with nonstop marketing appeal. It allows the participant to drop in on their own unbroken wave, feel the power and acceleration, carve a turn, do maneuvers and cut back. By using pumps to shoot thin sheets of water over a composite membrane riding surface, a perfect perpetual wave is created.
The FlowRider is the only water attraction that is a thrill and skill attraction. That is, the participant gets better the more times he/she rides, thus insuring repeat visits. The FlowRider is one of the only water attractions where spectators enjoy watching as much as the participant enjoys riding, thereby enhancing its visibility and appeal.

Family Raft Ride [edit]

Starting from the tallest tower in the waterpark this rides allows family and friends to experience the excitement of the ride together. Riding with 3-4 in a 6 feet raft guests travel down along the huge waterslide experiencing the thrills of racing vertically up the walls from left to right until landing smoothly in the pool below.

Dueling Master Blaster [edit]

These 2 rides offer the thrill and screams of a water rollercoaster. This award winning waterslide takes 2-3 riders on exciting steep waterslide drops before being pushed by water jets up the up hill sections and around fast bends before dropping into an exciting steep drop again. This is repeated on numerous occasions as guests race each other on either of the 2 Dueling waterslides.

Boomerango [edit]

The Boomerango is one of Whitewater's signature attractions offering a combination of thrilling sensations!
The Boomerango has the characteristics of a massive half pipe; where two riders begin winding along an aqua tube before reaching the open drop which creates enough speed to send riders up a 10 meter vertical wall/ramp at a 60 degree angle before returning down backwards at high speed and over a large hump before slowing down at the braking area to reach the pool. The 20-15 seconds of excitement leaves riders breathless.

Inner Tube Slides [edit]

Two riders start at the top of a tower in a double tube where they enter this classic thriller has all the ingredients of a healthy scream. Riders will be drenched with water beneath flowing water curtains and feel like they are grabbing a little air on breathtaking dips. Riders blast through enclosed tunnels and soar high up the walls of banked 180? and 360? curves before finally reaching the final fall that shoots them down it the pool. There are 2 different slides; one which is fully enclosed and races the riders through total darkness and the other being half open and half enclosed allowing the riders to race up the walls.

Whizzard™ [edit]

This side-by-side multi-lane mat racing slide that takes riders on a head-to-head battle through the initial fully enclosed loops that slowly builds up the riders speed before they are shot out into open waterslide to take the steep drop down below ground level before hitting the water in the run out slide at high speed and skimming along to see who can go the further.

Aqualoop [edit]

Riders' anticipation begins the moment they start climbing the steps of the tower where they eventually meet the operator and enter the door to the capsule which contains lights and music. The capsule is the vessel of the trap door within the floor which creates the ultimate thrust start. Facing forward with looks of anticipation and a view overlooking the Phuket Water Park the excitement builds as riders place their arms across their chest and then wait for the countdown. 3-2-1…
The trap door plummets below the riders' feet and accelerates them into over a 40 foot vertical free fall drop with maximum force into the looping slide of speed and exhilaration.

Freefall [edit]

Take the plunge of a freefall ride from the top of an 18 meter tower. You enter the slide on a slow horizontal section before dropping into a freefall to then again back into a horizontal section before itting the watr at high speed.

Rain Fortress [edit]

Ramayama Water Park Rain Fortress brings it all together! Water, slides, valves, cranks, water cannons, nets, spray features... that give our guests the control! They create their own fun by interacting and playing on this playground of water. The Rain Fortress offer hours of fun for guests of all ages.
On top of the Rain Fortress is a giant bucket that is constantly filled with water and when the water level reaches its limit every 2 minutes the bucket slowly tips and drops the water on the waiting guests below.

Kid’s pool [edit]

This pool offers a special slides designed for small children plus AquaSpray activity elements which allows children to control the water effects from the side or they can cool off by playing in and around the sprays, jets and falls.

Pool Bar / Activity Pool [edit]

EuroBungy [edit]

A thrill attraction containing 4 EuroBungy trampolines where guests can jump, bounce, twist and tumble like a professional whilst they are strapped for total safety. A fun attraction for guests to enjoy in the afternoon sun away from the splash of the waterslides and pools.

Stage [edit]

In the center of the duel wave pools will be a performance stage with a giant LED screen that will be able to hold events including live bands, international dance shows and Miss Bikini concerts.

Private Cabana’s [edit]

The waterpark has a variety of private cabana’s next to pools and attractions where friends can sit and chat or parents can relax whilst still keeping an eye on the children.

Food & Beverage / Retail [edit]

Ramayana Waterpark will have a wide variety of Food & Beverage for its guest, most notably the food court that will offer a convenient variety of tasteful local and international cuisine in a beautiful tropical garden setting, plus retail stores that will offer waterpark essentials and souvenirs for guests.
